Bill Quain, Ph.D. and Joe Corabi, Ed.D. founded The Professors Who Pay You Back as a way to thank the students and parents who've paid their salaries all these years. Their goal is to shift the balance of power in higher education from the colleges to the students and parents. They offer a fresh perspective on navigating both the academic and financial aspects of college. Bill and Joe want you to win the "game" of college by getting the best ROI (Return on Investment) possible.
In their latest book, Bankrupt U - Students, Parents and Alumni Are Going Broke, & Colleges Don't Give a C.R.A.P., Bill & Joe expose the business workings of college. They give you the insiders' secrets to getting the MOST from college while paying the LEAST amount of money. And as a way to "Pay You Back," Bill & Joe teach students and alumni how to take control of their financial futures - something college never taught them.
Bill has been a college professor for over 40 years, teaching his students how to become financially successful. Bill attended the Hotel School at Cornell University, where he graduated with both a first-class education and a practical trade. While still in college, he leased and operated a hotel and restaurant at the Jersey Shore, earning the money necessary to continue his college career. After graduation, Bill was the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director at a ski resort in Lake Tahoe. However, an eye condition was taking Bill's sight, so he decided to return to school for his Ph.D. and become a college professor. Today he is almost totally blind. Bill is a prolific author, having written 28 books, including 4 with his good friend Joe Corabi. He's traveled the world as a speaker and trainer. Bill and Joe have now combined their knowledge and expertise to help students and parents navigate their way through the college experience.
In addition to being a college professor for 24 years, Joe has been a teacher, athletic director and coach, high school principal, college advising consultant, and educational consultant. With over 50 combined years of experience in education, Joe has a unique perspective on the entire college experience, from the application process to graduation. In Bankrupt U, Joe and Bill intend to shift the balance of power from the colleges to the students by helping parents and students maximize every possible piece of information that's available.
